Smartbro needs no introduction, being one of the leading telecommunication and internet providers in the Philippines, I guess everyone knows what the service is. I have been a smartbro subscriber since 2008 and I have no plans of switching to another broadband company.
Available Plans – Smart Broadband
- Fixed Wireless Plan 999.00, which features unlimited surfing and with speed of up to 2 Mbps.
- Wimax Plan, which boasts of signal that’s more reliable and more consistent than DSL. This in turn has three plans for speeds according to one’s preference: 799 (up to 512kbps); Plan 999 (up to 1Mbps); and Plan 1995 (up to 2Mbps). Wimax also features unlimited surfing.
Mine is Fixed Wireless Plan 999, which, I think, was the only plan Smartbro offered in 2008. After two years of subscription, we now enjoy a lower monthly fee of about P900.00, inclusive of VAT under Smartbro’s Retention Rewards promo.
SmartBro Review
I was previously a subscriber of another internet provider here in Central Luzon but I got fed up with their service interruption, which at one time ran up to two weeks. I got so exasperated that I had to pre-terminate our contract. To make matters worse, after waiting for several months for the rebate that I was entitled to because of the frequent interruptions in their service (disservice is more like it), they claim that the rebate had already been applied in my previous monthly bills. At that time, my hands were tied with so much office work and household concerns that I had to attend to so I just let the matter go.
That was when I subscribed to Smartbro Unlimited Home Broadband.
Smartbro Experience
I am happy with smartbro (who wouldn’t be after my experience with my previous internet provider?) that I have not even bothered to go over the bills that they send through mail and just rely on the text message I receive with respect to the amount that I have to pay. Having been a subscriber for more or less three years now, I don’t remember having experienced any major problem with smartbro. There are times that connecting to the internet can get slow but it’s forgiveable.
I can really say that I have no complaints against smartbro.
